Moto Rapido Ducati was formed by Steve and Wilf... The story so far...
Then trading as Dr Desmo Ducati in Winchester, Steve was already well known and highly regarded for specialist Ducati engine building, servicing, and race bike preparation.

Wilf and Steve met through the UK Club racing scene, in the race paddock. Wilf was then racing a 748SPS and Steve transformed it into an 853SPS!
After working in several other bike shops but never really being happy with the way they worked, Wilf was running "Wilfs Motorcycles" (how original!) in Petersfield, importing, finding and selling specialist bikes for customers. A discussion soon took place about an ideal Ducati shop in our area, with Wilf running the bike sales and Steve running the service and tuning shop. The ideal being a dedicated Ducati showroom, specialist servicing, racing, trackdays, parts... basically everything Ducati under one roof.
Moto Rapido Ducati was born!
After several years as an independent specialist, we were noticed and recognised by Ducati UK and are now a fully franchised Ducati dealer and Ducati Performance specialist (we've even won a few awards!) We are very proud our our specialist workshop background and not just a regular Ducati dealer, we support many UK racers, track riders, and all of the main owners clubs. Everybody at Moto Rapido rides or races Ducati's.
We only maintain, tune, race and sell Ducati motorcycles. If you do just one thing, as a true specialist, you can do it really well, so we don't get involved in other brands, you wont find anything other than a Ducati in our workshop! Ducati's may not be for every rider, but they are certainly for us.

The workshop Paul (top photo) - After following our own in house service training Paul is just back from the latest factory training in Italy, a keen Ducati service technician for sure. Tony (Steve's father) has been a vehicle engineer since god was a lad and has had a bike for more years than its polite to mention. Working with and trained by Steve he is now part of the workshop service team. Tom - This year promoted after 3 years as Steves keenest apprentice ever! During his first year with us, Tom completed his college course in motorcycle mechanics in 2006 with merit passes. He is now facotry trained and qualified. |
