22-Dec-06 - 1098 Dyno results!
9th March 2007 : UPDATE.... We've now been playing with big exhaust systems...Click for the results... We've had the 1098 on our dyno, click for the video clip... The results... Totally stock 1098 (our demo bike) so we're really looking forward to putting the Termignoni race system on there! results to follow!
And just for fun, we put a totally stock, Suzuki GSXR 1000 K6 on the dyno the next day (same conditions, air temp and air pressure) makes intersting reading and its the comparison everyone has been talking about.. here is the power curve...
... and the Torque graph... Certainly makes interesting reading, Thanks to Barry for letting me put his GSXR on the dyno (its tricky finding a stock GSXR, not even an undertray and mini indicators!). Now I know that all the GSXR 1000 owners will be screaming at their monitors now, clutching their dyno print outs with 170+ bhp, but this is a totally stock bike, as is the 1098, on the same dyno so I feel its the fairest comparison.
When we get the Termignoni race kit on the 1098, we'll be able to do the same runs again with a GSXR with Yoshimura exhaust set up. Cant wait!!! (I did this just for fun and because I a bike nut, and my wife wonders why I work late so much !!!, Wilf)
